The bigger the unit the louder the noise will be. And its annoying especially when you are watching television or just chatting on the phone.

But i prefer the smaller units. I put one in my bedroom and i could just feel my body relaxing and can immediately fall asleep in just a few minutes. The only complaint I have about the casement window air conditioner is that we have to take it out and put it back into the window every year.

Yet I still love my casement window air conditioner as it helps me sleep soundly during the hot summer nights. Plus it costs less than a large central air conditioner which will be barely utilized.
